POSITION TITLEMortgage Loan Processor 

REPORTS TO: Mortgage Production Manager

DEPARTMENT: Lending Production


 **Successful Candidate will receive a hiring bonus of up to $5,000**

 PURPOSE: The Mortgage Loan Processor‘s primary responsibility is for the accurate, timely and efficient processing of all real estate secured products. The position provides quality service to credit union members and delivers our VALUE service promise.

  • Must be able to meet assigned production and accuracy goals.
  • Ensures timely processing of applications to ensure continued business and quality service
  • Assesses the members needs and offer solutions which may include suggestions for product options and cross sell opportunities which includes Credit Life and Disability options
  • Must work independently with third party referral sources to develop those relationships
  • Process real estate secured loans, research to ensure adequate collateral and lien securitization and scheduling of closing and disbursement and post closing
  • Works with external vendors to ensure title work and all research is performed within established timeframes necessary to secure the member’s loan request
  • Request, gathers and organizes tips from branch employees and brokers to submit to Credit Analyst for final underwriting
  • Pre-Closing document preparation for branch or title company. Setting closing dates and times
  • Pre-funding Audit review for completeness and accuracy of documents for disbursement of mortgage
  • Post-closing Audit to ensure completeness and accuracy of documents. This includes timely delivery of the completed loan file to records for scanning
  • Timely delivery of file to respective counties for recording of mortgage liens
  • Cross train for other duties (all positions) as required/as needed in the production area
  • Effectively track, monitor and maintain pipeline status reports
  • Must perform all activities in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations as well as within credit union approved policies and procedures


  • Preferred minimum of 3-5 years of similar or related experience
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Must be skilled in oral and written communications and discern when to use in-person, telephone or electronic communication.


The work requires physical mobility within the general work area to include traveling to outlying centers, Supervisory Committee meetings and professional development activities. Light lifting and carrying of items such as books and small stacks of paper are required. The work is generally performed in an office environment.
