Position Title: Mortgage Loan Originator- Full Time
Reports To: Lending Manager
Position Description:
Assist members with the lending process to determine the proper product to successfully meet guidelines and needs of the member. This position requires a high concentration in paying attention to details with excellent time management skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Originate Mortgage, HELOC & HELOAN applications via in person and online
- Assess and present the member with financial solutions that best fit their needs
- Gather supporting documentation, issue disclosures and rate locks
- Develop relationships that will generate referrals and prospective new business
- Perform daily maintenance of the loan pipeline
- Collection of financial and supporting documentation
- Assemble, upload and maintain member and collateral files
- Originates in the best interest of both the member and organization
- Initiate wires and draws
- Prepare Satisfaction of Mortgage (equity loans only)
- Provide Notary services
- Collaborate with branch staff in cross-selling products and services
- Participate in MSCU community events
- Complete all compliance requirements in a timely manner
- Complete other related duties as required or assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years originating experience required
- Mortgage Cadence experience preferred
- Knowledge of federal lending regulations (TRID) required
- General understanding of Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac guidelines
- Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting and closing
- Detail oriented and thorough
- The ability to multi-task a must
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated teamwork and customer service skills
- Willingness to accept ongoing projects as necessary
- Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organizations desired culture and values
- Active NMLS ID required
